A Weimaraner is a pointing dog bred by hunters – for hunters

Though the Weimaraner makes a good appearance in the designer sofa, what counts is the hunting performance. You can easily be thrilled by the beautiful exterior and aristocratic expression of the Weimaraner. Therefore, Weimaraners have been used in commercials and art, resulting in an increased popularity amongst non-hunters.

For instance, in the nineties the photographer William Wegman featured Weimaraners posed in human clothing and postures. A Weimaraner has – despite its collaboration skills and devotion to humans – a distinct hunting instinct, and deserves an eventful life, where these instincts are stimulated.
